The gambling industry is growing in what are now known as the The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The CIS consists of the former Soviet Republics of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Before now there was has been no centralized organization for the industry players to network, share knowledge, and expand their businesses. Thus Gaming Congress Kazakhstan will be held in Almaty beginning August 20, 2015 with a special focus on gambling in Kazakhstan.

The event will bring together administrators, managers and top management of casinos; owners of hotel and tourism business; owners and developers of online platforms; large developers who specialize in this field; manufacturers and suppliers of gaming equipment and betting companies.

The conference is being organized in a such a way that a dialogue can begin among participants, including entrepreneurs and experts. Highlights of planned discussions at the congress include the mechanisms and specificity of online gambling, regulation and taxation of the gambling business in Kazakhstan, how to attract players with a focus on entertainment and shows, success stories and tactics shared by owners of the biggest casinos in Kazakhstan, an in-depth analysis of the gambling zones, lottery innovations, and ways to attract investors.

There will also be a demo area where guests will be able to experience some of the latest innovations in the gambling industry. This venue will present a prime opportunity to connect with potential partners, contractors, and suppliers.

The Kapchagay gaming zone (Almaty region) will be host to a business tour presented by the Gaming Congress on August 21st. Between this zone and the Shchuchyn district (Akmola region) there are about 50 gambling halls, full-scale casinos, and many betting shops. The tour will give Congress participants an opportunity to visit the best casinos in the regions.

During the tour you will learn about the organizational system of the Kazakhstan gambling business, enjoy informal and business meetings with casino owners, get acquainted with representatives of local administrators and meet officials, and enjoy the many sites of the region.

In addition to formal Congress lectures and meetings, this opportunity could reveal many secrets of successful Kazakhstan casinos.

Recent newsworthy developments in the country include a visit by Wynn Resorts founder Steve Wynn, who met with President Nursultan Nazarbayev – continued international expansion by ARC Resorts (who have major projects in-country and Sri Lanka, branching out into Spain) – and a marketing partner agreement for Tengri Resort, being built along the Silk Road. Yale graduate, Franklin Levy is a notable speaker scheduled at the Congress. He is a board member of Big Lifestyle Development Ltd, the marketing partner of Tengri Resort.

An international airport will be built near the Tengri resort in Almaty with funding from the Chinese government as part of the Silk Road Project. The airport, acting as a central hub, will be within a 5 hour plane ride of half of the world’s population according to a development website. A new superhighway and high speed rail are also planned for the area.

Kazakhstan is located in the heart of Central Asia and is the largest inland country on earth. Under President Nursultan Nazarbayev the country has become one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Upon independence in 1991 the Gross Domestic Product per capita was just $1,512. In 2012 the GDP per capita had risen to $13,900.
